Day-1

BANGALORE
Welcome in India! On arrival, you will be transferred and assisted till your room in your hotel. Remaining day at leisure. Bangalore is the capital city of the southern Indian State of Karnataka. It is also known as the Garden City because of its many splendid gardens and parks. The city was founded in the 16th century and has since continued to be an important administrative center of South India. Because of the high centering of IT industry, the city is also called the Silicon Valley of India. Another tourism attraction of the city lies in its Pubs. It is now also called the Pub City with over 200 Pubs all over the town. They are the most hangs out zones quite familiar among the tourist as well as the locals. Overnight at hotel (BANGALORE).

Day-2

Proceed to local sightseeing in Bangalore till afternoon. After lunch drive to Mysore.(140 KM and 4 Hours)
Mysore is the second biggest City of Karnataka State, which still preserves its age-old glory that in its majestic palaces, forts and gardens. Mysore is also famous for sandalwood and rosewood carved products. The beautiful Mysore silk sarees and sandalwood oil are few of shopper’s delights. Evening visit BRINDAVAN Garden. Brindavan Garden is a popular site of the Indian Films. Since the 1960s, it is continuously used for shooting song sequences for the films. A special attraction of the garden includes the ‘Musical’ Dancing Fountains’. Today garden has gone under complete renovation with the introduction of new fountain and light system, which attracts tourists very much. Timings: Monday-Friday: 6:30 PM – 7:25 PM and Saturday-Sunday: 6:30 PM – 8:25 PM. Mysore Palace is one of the major attractions of Mysore. Built in Indo-Saracenic style the Palace is an abode of exquisite carvings and precious paintings from all over the world. The fort also has abstruse designed gateways with carved domes, minaret, archways and gallery. The royal Durbar Hall has a decorated ceiling and many chiseled pillars. Another attraction of the palace is the Wodeyars royal throne made of gold, embellished with precious stones and jewels. The throne is displayed in the palace for public viewing during the Dussehra festival. The palace is beautifully lighted on Sundays and all public holidays, an awe-inspiring view that makes one’s visit worth. Chamundi Hills: On top of the Chamundi Hills the 12th century temple of Goddess Chamundeshwari of the Wodeyars perches. The temple can be approached through a 13km well-formed road or can be climbed up by the 1,000 steps constructed in 17th century by the Mysore Maharaja.The zenith of the hill offers a breathtaking panorama of Mysore’s lakes, gardens and palaces. St. Philomena’s Church: A specimen of medieval architectural style, the church is one of the biggest churches in the country showcasing stained glass windows and elevated towers. Mysore Zoo: The Mysore Zoo includes some of the rare species of wildlife, which are kept in natural, green surroundings. The Zoo is also notable for breeding some very rare mammals in confinement.The Art Gallery: In 1875, the Jaganmohan Palace was transformed into an art gallery, showcasing beautiful paintings of that era. The world prestigious, Mysore ‘gold leaf paintings are also exhibited in the gallery, which are also a great source attraction among the tourist. Fort: There is a Gumbaz, Tipu’s tomb near the fort with splendid black doors carved out of ivory. Overnight at hotel (MYSORE).

OOTY (200 KM & 6 Hours)

Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam is the “Queen of hill stations” and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level.The establishment of numerous tea estates made Ooty famous. Lofty mountains, dense forest, sprawling grasslands and miles and miles of tea gardens greet the passengers on most routes. The annual Tea and Tourism Festival attracts crowds in huge numbers. Lake: Ooty Lake has emerged as one of the foremost tourist attractions of Ooty in recent years. The Lake and the Boat House has been the major entertainment hub of the large number of tourists who flock to this beautiful hill station all throughout the year and particularly in the summer months.Ooty Lake is an artificial lake that owes its construction to the first Collector of Ooty, John Sullivan. The original intention was to construct an irrigation tank but finally, the lake was dredged out in the years 1823-1825. The lake has an irregular L shape and stretches for more than 2 km in length. The width of the lake varies at regular intervals. The overall area of this well-known lake that is definitely a must see on any sightseeing trip of Ooty, it is about one and a half square miles.

It is frequented by a large number of people who love the mountains, the valleys, the cascades and its pleasant climate as well. There are many tourist attractions in and around Ooty and each of these is well worth a visit. None can be missed out when one is on a sightseeing tour of this Queen of Hill Stations. One such major tourist attraction that deserves to be a part of your itinerary is the Kodanadu’s View Point in Ooty. As Ooty is best known for its scenic beauty, any place that commands a lovely view of the scenic landscape is sure to attract the largest number of tourists. The case is no different with the Kodanadu’s View Point in Ooty. Situated at the eastern edge of the Nilgiri range of mountains, it commands a mesmerizing view of the surrounding picturesque landscape. The sight is so beautiful that it is sure to remain embedded in some corner of your mind once you have witnessed it. The River Moyar is seen flowing below and the tea estates cover the slopes of the hills. The verdant look is soothing to the eyes. Evening back to the hotel.

KOCHI (COCHIN). (310 KM and 7 Hours drive)

Cochin, the commercial town of Kerala, – a vibrant, lively city of palm green filled with interesting artifacts in every corner..Take leisure at the hotel.

Munnar: (175 KMS and 5 Hours)

Drive to Munnar. On arrival check in to your hotel.Munnar-Tucked away in sunny, tropical Kerala is a cool green paradise. Away from heat and dust. State’s finest Tea plantations. The best Hill station of Kerala… Watch the spectacular beauty of Tea gardens. Enjoy the nature, where the cloud turns into mist, which may touch you with a romantic feeling… It is located 1600 meter from sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular and most wanted tourist place of Kerala. Munnar is an idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna. Breathing of fresh, cool mountain air is a rare experience.

Proceed to Munnar local sightseeing

Kundale Lake.Coming back to the town for Lunch.Visiting Tea Museum at 15:00 Hrs and continuing the sightseeing till the evening. Evening visit Blossom Park, Pothenmedu viewpoint and evening by 18:30 Hrs coming back to the hotel and proceed to the dinner in the restaurant.

THEKKADY (12O KM and 4 Hours drive)

THEKKADY (Ever Green Forest’s Land with Spice Plants). The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. In the Periyar Forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wild life reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks. This plantation town is situated on the outskirts of the Periyar sanctuary…Come back to the town in the evening and shopping is possible in the spice market of these spicy lands…NB: Optional activities like; Elephant safari, Kalari Payattu (A traditional martial Art), Kathakali Show (A traditional performance-Art), Jungle Jeep Safari and Ayurveda Massages etc are available here in Thekkady and these are not included in the package… But, if you are interested in any of these activities, we can guide you promptly with the supplementary charges.

THEKKADY

Following the breakfast at 09:00 AM; get ready with your Camera for the wild life scenario… Sharp at 10:30 Hrs proceeding to the Boat Trip in PERIYAR WILD LIFE SANCTUARY. Boat Trip starts at 10:45 Hrs and ends at 11:45 Hrs. Coming back to the town for Lunch…Lunch Break at 13:00 Hrs till 13:45 Hrs. Following the Lunch you relax for one or two hours and on or before 16:00 hrs; we will provide you a SPICE PLANTATION Visit. Fill your bird’s eyes with the lush green spice plants. Blessed with Cardamom and pepper plantations. A generous gift of ginger, clove and nutmeg. And a variety of Ayurvedic medicinal plants. Evening by 18:30 Hrs coming back to the Hotel and proceed to the Dinner in the Restaurant.

Day-10

Drive to Kumarakom from THEKKADY(160 KMS and 4 Hours)

Board on to the HOUSE BOAT: Check in to the Houseboat at 12.00 Noon.With the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers criss-crossing it, Alleppey is referred to as the Venice of the East by travelers from across the world. Houseboat cruise through narrow canals- Coconut Lagoons – Virgin villages-paddy fields-historical places – Temples – Snake boat – Coconut beer shop (Toddy shop) — R Block Islands – Kuttanad Village etc. Distance covered on each day will be 35 to 40 km on an average/day. Enjoy spectacular lush green paddy fields, where you may enjoy a unique nature, lifestyle of village people and their activities like Coir roping, Toddy tapping etc. All meals will be provided in this A/c House Boat. You may enjoy the splendid sunsets, Waxing moonlights, dreaming stars and of course the delicious foods cooked and served by us. [You are mostly invited to our kitchen in the House Boat, to learn and try the list of ingredients and instructions for making something, especially a traditional food dish of KERALA for the dinner or for the Breakfast. If you are satisfied; don’t forget to note down the recipe and try it in future. Please note: 1.) 06.00 pm to 07.00 am- Boat will be anchored & it will be idle in the lake. (As per GOVT. Rule- Village people need to put the net in the lake for fishing). 2.) Air condition will function in the bed room from 08.00 PM till 07.00 AM only.

Day-11

Kumarakom Sightseeing

On arrival, you will be transferred and assisted till your room in your hotel/Resort..Situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is the favorite destination for bird watchers looking out for migratory birds. Placed on enchanting backwater Kumarakom is a beautiful piece of land engulfed with mangrove forests, coconut lagoons, paddy fields. The waterways offer the tourist with a unique experience to go around in boats, have hands-on fishing and many other leisure options. The place can be best termed to relax in the lap of harmony. Things to do: Fishing, Boating through broad & narrow canals, Bird Watching, Walkthrough paddy fields and Temple visits. Overnight at hotel (KUMARAKAM).

Day-12

Departure

At appropriate time you will be transferred to the international airport of Cochin to board the flight back to home. Departure with lots of memories and thousands of photographs. The tour ends.
